- Aju Mukhopadhyay
- A bilingual poet, essayist, feature and fiction writer, I have 11 books in English and 12 books in Bangla. I regularly write in magazines, e-zines and sometimes in newspaper pages. Quite a few of my works have been translated and included in anthologies. I have been awarded Certificate of Competence as a Published Writer by the Writers Bureau, Manchester, UK, awarded Best Poet of the Year-2003 by the Poets International, Bangalore, India and 2007 Editor’s Choice Published Poet award by the International Library of Poetry, USA. I am a member of the Research Board of Advisors of the American Biographical Institute. I am a haijin; I write haiku, tanka, etc. I am a member of World Haiku Club and such organisations. The idea of creating this bolg is to share haiku and such other poems of the genre in Bangla with poets writing in Bangla in Roman type for the present as Bangla type cannot be used here.
